Jamaica nice (Jah mek ya nice)

Jamaica’s official language is English but locals often speak creole otherwise called “patois,” which is considered to be the most unique language in the world. Patois consists of many words from the English language and is the most widely spoken language in Jamaica.

While visiting our island, you will be exposed to this unique way of communication - let Jamaica Customized Vacation & Tours give you a head start. When you hear a local say “yah mon,” it simply means “yes.”

If someone says to you “wha’appen?” it’s our way of saying “what’s up?” We use this greeting when talking with our friends. In Jamaica, “walk good” is our way of saying good bye, take care or safe traveling with good wishes.

Men in Jamaica often refer to the way a female looks as “criss.” It’s their way of telling you that you are pretty or fine looking. “Yuh nah come a bashment lata?” means “Aren’t you going to the party or exciting event later?”

Now ‘rhaatid” is not a profane word, however, we use it to express how we feel or intensify what we are trying to say. Ever heard the word “blabbah mout?” This is someone who talks too much.

One thing we guarantee is a smile on everyone’s face that we come in contact with! So book with Jamaica Customized Vacation & Tours and experience our culture with us.

One Love!

You may have come to Jamaica just for some R and R or maybe you’ve come to see the birthplace of the King of Reggae, Bob Marley. If you did, for the latter, you’ve probably heard and sang his songs, wished you could see him live in concert and now have the desire to experience the place he called home. So, now you’ve set off in search of a way to do that.

Your best option is going on a Bob Marley Nine Mile Tour. After you've endured a crazy ride on what seems to be some never ending winding roads, a sudden rush of elation will come when you arrive safely. Upon arrival, tour guides are awaiting to take you on the tour of the grounds. At first, the environment seems a bit touristy, but the fact that you’re at the same place that Bob used to walk about, makes up for that disappointment.

The quaint village of Nine Mile features the birthplace, childhood home and the final place of rest of the legend. Get to experience a bit of the rustic side of Jamaica as you get a glimpse into the life of the revolutionary Robert Nesta Marley!

And remember, whatever you want to do while you are in Jamaica, we will be here to help you plan your Jamaica Tours experience. Also, please leave feedback with us. We would really like to know what would make your time in Jamaica worthwhile.
